I'm sure at this point you have began dreaming up and maybe even have began planning your wedding day! But if there is one thing I have learned in my years of being a fiancee, wife and now wedding photographer... it's that there is no right or wrong way to do things! Whether you are choosing to have an elopement, small ceremony or large blow out wedding, as long as you celebrate what is most important (the two of you!) then you can't go wrong!
We encourage you to use this website as an amazing addition to your wedding planning tools and can't wait for you to be a special part of our BMP Family!
With that said, let's get to planning!!!!
There are a few things you're going to want to keep in mind when planning your engagement session!
What kind of location are you wanting? Rustic (like a shabby chic farm), Beaches, Downtown Elegance, Mountain Tops, etc. They are all beautiful locations but all completely different. Sometimes couples want a location that will portray the theme of their wedding and sometimes they want their session totally separate from a "theme" and just want to capture the elegance and the love between them in a place that is meaningful to them. Either is 100% perfect as long as it truly shows the love you two have for one another! I just suggest that you pick somewhere you will feel comfortable and is your own piece of paradise!!!
Outfit Choices: make sure that you choose something complimentary to the location you're in! For example, you don't want green outfits in a forest. Be thinking about the surroundings of the location you choose and then choose your outfits accordingly.
Ladies, I suggest having a professional make-up artist and hair stylist take care of you that day if possible! There will be a new found confidence and pep in your step if you feel your best! A day of pampering is just the key!

There is no better way to plan a wedding then truly just planning something that is special to the two of you! Little hidden gems of your life together keeps your guests enamored the entire night and who doesn't love a good party! If you're having a small intimate ceremony, giant reception or something in between, whatever you choose will be absolutely perfect! When planning your wedding day, there are so many amazing vendors that will go into making it something so insanely special for the two of you! You already have your photographer but here is a list of suggestions to help you get to planning and having fun in the process!
- Wedding planner: having someone by your side will keep things running smoothly and on time leading up to the wedding and the day of! Don't put this on a friend/family member. They deserve to enjoy your day with you, not make sure things run smoothly!
- Wedding Venues: often times venues will offer an all inclusive options with dining and linens, tables and chairs. If not, they will likely have a suggestion on who they prefer to work with!
- Florist: Do you want fresh bouquets, centerpieces, flowers for your cake? An amazing florist can create something one of a kind for you!
- Baker: You'll get to have a taste test! This is such a fun date day with your soon to be spouse! Make sure you have ideas ready to go to show your baker on what the perfect wedding cake will look like! Alternate solutions will be donuts, cupcakes, etc.
- DJ- how are we gonna get the party started without a perfectly compiled list of the best current music? Find someone who can be the life of the party!

Your forma family photos will include:
Bride, Groom, Siblings, Parents, Grandparents, Cousins, Aunts & Uncles
This will also be the time when we can quickly photograph any close friends and family! We will take a ton during the reception to allow for the fond memories of laughing, dancing, partying and of course a grand exit but for those who want a more formal approach to close friends and family, this will be when we take those photographs!
Your wedding day will quickly come and go, so we want to be sure that you have a memory from your very special day that will last a lifetime! It deserves to be treasured and shared with your family friends. An album is the perfect way to make sure that happens.
